In the afternoon, you’ll be pick up and head tp the Kraton palace to learn more about the history Mataram Islam monarchy in Kraton Yogyakarta. Here, you not only get a chance to observe the preserved Javanese culture from the displays of royal heirlooms and artifacts, but you can also enjoy live cultural performances and watch the daily activity of the courtiers.
Only 2 kilometers south within the ground of Keraton, the glorious of the earliest era of Yogyakarta Sultanate is depicted in the layouts of Taman Sari Water Castle. While you are savoring the combination of Javanese and Portuguese architecture, a knowledgeable guide will overflow your mind with the history and the original usage of these wonderful sites.
In late afternoon, you'll explore Prambanan Temple, the biggest Hindu temples in Southeast Asia, which also enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your exploration in Prambanan Temple will be accompanied by the perpetual presence of the deities, the magical creatures and enchanting folklores. The spectacular Hindu epic, including Ramayana and Bhagavata Purana, carved along on the wall of the three main temples. You can learn about the history details while observing the panels of narrative bas-relief sculpture on each temple.
Optional: Cycling in the Village (Morning)
Enjoy the breakfast at the hotel. Around 10.00am, you will meet our representative for another cycling excitement. Today you will go cycling around the south countryside. The guide takes you to cycling around the village where you and during 4 hours cycling you may be able to meet and greet with the farmers and perhaps hands on to their daily works in the field. You can also visit some home industries that exist along your cycling route. Finish the cycling and return back you can spend some time to clean up your body and take a rest. The rest afternoon, it will be your time at leisure. The bicycles are still available for you to use until 8 pm and you can arrange you own tour.
