Itinerary Preview
Welcome in Yogyakarta! Our representative will pick you up in the airport/train station and take you to western area of Yogyakarta, to Kalibiru Tourism Village in Kulonprogo Regency.
This afternoon, we'll take you to visit Kalibiru National Park, 450 m above sea level. The family getaway is famous for its viewing point where you can see endless blue sky touches the hill as well as lush wild vegetation on the outback with Waduk Sermo (a huge reservoir) fitting in the picture perfectly. Kalibiru has well-maintained supporting facilities for the visitors. There are various trekking route, so you can walk around with the presence of exotic flora and fauna. Not only available for adults, they provide flying fox with an easy route for kids.
Overnight at the Local Homestay.
Waking up early in the morning to greet stunning sunrise on Menoreh Hills. Streching across northwestern region of Kulonprogo Regency, the eastern Purworejo Regency and some areas of Magelang Regency, at the border of those three. On high ground, you'll see the sun emerging from the horizon line, spreading warmth on the greyish blue sky, beaming its eternal beauty. You can observe mountains, Borobudur Temple and Magelang city from up there. With good weather, from the highest peak of Menoreh people can see all big mounts of Central Java, such as Mount Merapi, Mount Merbabu, Mount Sindoro, Mount Sumbing, Mount Ungaran, and Telomoyo Peak.
Kedung Pedut is waterfall in the middle of wild vegetation. This is where you and your family can spend some time feasting your eyes on magical setting that looks like it jumps out of fairy tale books. It features gushing water as white as snow on the falls and turquoise water in large rocky pool. The water level isn't too deep (chest-deep), you can take a dip, splashing fresh cool water to drive away your weary day. You can also explore its surrounding and walk around on bamboo bridge.
In the afternoon, you'll enjoy coffee and various traditional snacks at local coffee shop, Kedai Pak Rahmat. Its speciality is single origin Menoreh and mocha. Drinking a cup of hot coffee will help you feel warmer on the cool afternoon. Come there and enjoy snacking just the way locals do.
Overnight at the Local Homestay
In the morning, you'll stroll around Nglinggo tea plantation area in Samigaluh Subdistrict, approximately 800 m above sea level. Far away from polluted atmosphere you and your children can explore two hectares plantation area and learn one thing or two about tea, everyone's favorite drink. Take a deep breath of clean air, embrace the scent of green leaves and fertile soil while you're walking on the narrow paths usually used by the pickers. Can also go uphill to the overlook where your reward awaits you, a panoramic view of the whole plantation.
Have breakfast at local warung and enjoy delicious Indonesian cuisine known by the world.
This will be the end of your program, we're heading back to Yogyakarta. You'll be transferred to the airport for your flight back home
